Those of you who know me know I love (love love love) Instagram. I find that hauling my big camera around with me everywhere is something I WISH I could do, but it’s just not practical for my life. Since I have my phone with me literally at all times, I have come to depend upon it as my go-to camera. I figure, since I’m not shooting as much as I used to (want to) be, I would share some of my everyday photos with you!

I’ll start off with just a couple, but hopefully it will be interesting enough to make a few posts!

You may recognize these hands (and the gelato). I love to snap a few phone shots during shoots, it lets me upload them ASAP to my Facebook fan page!

These fabulous little 4″x4″ prints are from PostalPix, which is an awesome iPhone app (coming soon to Android!) that lets you print Instagram photos directly from your phone. I LOVE mine, I made an awesome PostalPix wall from my prints!

I think these were my first Instagram photos. You may recognize those hearts from previous posts!

Okay so if you follow me on Instagram, you know about Mexican Tuesdays. I’ll probably do a post all about drink photos, including several from this weekly event (which I missed this week due to a DOWNPOUR, unfortunately!). The below photo is from our weekly hangout.

I don’t usually do feet photos. . . but I couldn’t resist.

See, this is why I love Instagram. I took Mom to High Tea for Mother’s Day at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. I didn’t want to drag my giant camera around, so I snapped some shots right on my phone. A worthy substitute, I think.

So this didn’t wind up being as short as I suspected. But I do have OTHER Instagram posts planned (possibly themed ones. Turns out I have lots of photos of drinks. . . ). So follow me on Instagram, @sherib626 !

Aiko – Seattle Washington Model Portrait Photographer

This post, much like Sarah’s, is well over-due. Aiko and I shot when I was in Seattle last year, and she brought along a truly excellent team with her. Andy Tseng is the excellent hairstylist who brought these looks to life, and Cris Poma did the flawless makeup. It was really fun to see these two artists do their work on the fly. We shot at the beautiful Kubota Gardens in Seattle Washington.

Dan and Heather – South Florida Engagement Photographer

I’m going to have trouble expressing myself in this post. I am always honored when my dear friends ask me to photograph them, and (much like when I posted about Stacy’s wedding last year), I always find myself at a loss for what to say. For an English major, I am apparently pretty poor at expressing myself when it comes to those I love!

Dan and Heather are two of my very best friends, and one of the most wonderful couples I’ve ever known. I was lucky enough to be there when Dan popped the question, along with several of our other friends. Not only are Dan and Heather dedicated to one another, but they are also dedicated to friends and family, which is one of the things I love about them.

I was informed that I will not be able to photograph their wedding, as I will be the Maid of Honor. I’m okay with that, especially since I got to do their engagement photos! We went to beautiful downtown Fort Pierce, Florida, which is an area that is very special to Heather and many of the locations where we shot are some of her favorite places in town.

These are two of the most wonderful people I’ve had the joy of knowing, and I cannot wait to be part of their beautiful wedding. Please enjoy!

I die for this next photo. I think they look like they belong in a magazine, so gorgeous.

We ended the shoot with a stop for gelato, and I snuck a quick photo of Heather’s ring.

Those of you who know Dan and Heather will probably be seeing some version of this photo in the near future!

Sarah – Seattle Washington Fashion Portrait Photographer

This blog post is loooong overdue! Sorry about the disappearing act, I’ve been so busy with the Real Job that I haven’t really been able to shoot much. Most of you know that photography is not my full time job, unfortunately, and I’m not sure it ever will be. But I hope some day that I can just take pictures and not have to worry about anything else!

Anyway, enjoy the photos from Sarah’s session from my trip to Seattle! Some day maybe I’ll even get to edit my walking-around photos.

You may recall, this is the trip where I put girls in trees.

Stacie and Brian – Orlando Florida Couple Photographer

Stacie and I go way back to my first year of college at IUP. Somehow, we both found ourselves in Florida! She and Bryan have been engaged for, like, ever, and decided they didn’t want to head into another year without being married. So they got hitched! No, really, just before the new year they went down to the courthouse, signed all the papers, and then met me in Celebration for a photo shoot!

Christine – Orlando Florida Head Shot Photographer

Christine is an Orlando actor, and came to me because she needed new head shots. We met at one of my favorite parks in Orlando on a beautiful day for these photos. The weather has been so nice, and on this day it was pretty much the perfect temperature, with beautiful light. Not to mention that Christine brought this gorgeous blue dress that just made her eyes POP! I told her she should wear it to all of her future auditions.

Jessi – Olympia Washington Portrait Photographer

Jessi is a friend of Stacy‘s (you remember Stacy and Joey, I hope), who is super adorable and owns a very chic little vintage clothing business called Currently from the Past Vintage. While I was in Seattle, Stacy made sure that Jessi and I got together for a shoot. She knew that I was looking to shoot and liked Jessi’s look, and that Jessi liked my work. I wound up driving down to Olympia and Jessi showed me some of the coolest locations I’ve ever gotten to shoot!

I know that Jessi has been patiently awaiting these photos. I would just like to thank all of my Seattle models and teams for their patience and understanding. It’s hard working a 40 hr/wk job, editing an entire wedding, AND having a social life. You have all been so understanding, and I very much appreciate it!

By the way, Seattle was the “Sheri puts pretty girls in trees” trip. Just a heads up.

How GORGEOUS is this jacket? I wish I could have taken it home with me!

Stacy and Joey – Seattle Washington Wedding Photographer

WARNING: This is going to be a very long post.

Stacy is one of my dearest friends. She and I met while working for the Mouse, and bonded over (among other things) photography and music. I swear, she might be the only person to have ever lived in Florida who understands my taste in music. Not only has she introduced me to one of my favorite photographers, but she’s also an exceptionally talented photographer herself. So when she asked me, during her last visit to Florida, if I would be her wedding photographer, I was nervous and ecstatic. Nevermind the fact that Joey hadn’t proposed to her yet. I’m not a wedding photographer, I told her. But she insisted, and I agreed, and Joey popped the question when he picked her up from that very same trip, and then it sank in: I was going to shoot a wedding.

Luckily, Stacy and Joey had complete faith in me. Which is awesome, because I have complete faith that these two were made for each other. Their love story is theirs to tell, but let me just say that the friends-for-years-then-falling-in-love thing is very near and dear to my heart. I love these two so much, and I can’t wait for them to come visit in December.

I also want to add that this was probably the most wonderful wedding I could have been asked to photograph. Not only was everything absolutely beautiful, but everyone was so incredibly nice! It felt like I was immediately adopted into this big, warm, loving family, and I’d like to thank everyone for being so wonderful, especially Stacy and Joey’s parents and families, and the entire wedding party. You guys rock, I can’t wait to come back and visit all my new friends.

I’d like to take a moment to talk about these boutonnieres. Joey made them, out of some of Stacy’s grandfather’s pocketwaches. That’s an example of just how creative and family-oriented this lovely wedding was.

The wedding ceremony and reception were at the Sole Repair Shop. It is an adorable venue, and definitely has that vintage feel that they were going for!

Kayle – Seattle Portrait Photographer

Alrighty! Let’s get back into the swing of things. While I was in Seattle, I set up a number of shoots (besides, of course, the wonderful wedding of Stacy and Joey, coming soon to this very blog!). Kayle and I did a quick 30-minute shoot in Occidental Park one day. I love working with friends, because it doesn’t feel like work at all!

Keep your eye on this space for more shoots from Seattle, and Stacy and Joey’s awesome wedding! Also, leave some love, because I just purged 500+ spam comments and I could use a real comment or two!

Ashley – Orlando Florida Portrait Photographer

Life has taken over. I’ve recently gotten a new (temporary) position at work, which has messed up my entire schedule and I’ve just been SO busy with everything that editing had to take a back seat. Ashley has been incredibly patient with me while I get her photos edited, and I’m so happy to finally share them all with you!

I took a hiatus from shooting in June, so I could catch up on all the editing I needed to do, but I’m happy to say that I’m available to shoot again in July and August!

Also, if anyone is in the SEATTLE, WASHINGTON area (or willing to travel there), I will be visiting in the last week of August (right before I shoot Stacy Wagoner‘s wedding! (No, I am still not a wedding photographer!) Please be sure to let me know if you would like to book a shoot while I’m in town. You can email me to find out what days are available!
